PRIVACY POLICY
The protection of your personal data is a priority for Latitude Guesthouse. Below we explain who we are, why we may use your personal data, how we process it, with whom we share it, how long we keep it, and how you can contact us and exercise your rights.
Who we are. Why we process your information. Your personal data may be collected and processed by Latitude for the following purposes: a) to comply with legal obligations, in particular the reporting of guests to the immigration and border authorities (SEF/AIMA) and invoicing; b) to perform the accommodation contract, including payment transactions, check-in and check-out management, guest management and services related to the stay; c) to send communications by email or mobile, including information and commercial communications within Latitude's marketing activity, and to reply to requests for information; d) to protect the property and assets held by Latitude, and for statistical analysis. What personal data we collect. Identification data, contact data, and bank or payment card data needed to provide the contracted services, answer requests, or carry out pre-contractual steps.
Legal grounds. Processing is based on performance of the accommodation contract and on Latitude's legal obligations, in particular the rules on the entry, stay and departure of foreign nationals and tax law (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). Communications under (c) are based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Purpose (d) is based on Latitude's legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How long we keep your data. Personal data is kept only for the minimum period necessary for the purposes that motivated its collection, without prejudice to legal retention periods (in particular invoicing records, kept for the period required by Portuguese tax law).
Who we may share your data with. a) Entities affiliated with Latitude that respect an equivalent data protection policy; b) public authorities to which Latitude is legally obliged to provide information, in particular the immigration and border authorities and the Tax Authority; c) subcontractors providing services on Latitude's behalf under a data-processing agreement, such as website hosting, booking and payment providers, email marketing, cleaning, accounting and legal services, and insurers; d) judicial or supervisory authorities to which Latitude is legally obliged to disclose information.
International transfers. Your data is processed within the European Economic Area. Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, Latitude ensures appropriate safeguards under the GDPR (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision) and will not transfer data to countries that do not guarantee an adequate level of protection.
Your rights. At any time you may request access, rectification or erasure of your data, restriction of or objection to processing, and data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority (CNPD, www.cnpd.pt).
